Our Story
Patrick Eibs, of Higher Standard Homes, knew at a very early age that he wanted to be involved in new home construction. As a young child, his family moved extensively and he would attend many open houses. It was not uncommon for Patrick to give a critique to the owner or owner’s agent upon completion of the tour. It was at a very young age that Patrick established the tenets for what would eventually become Higher Standard Homes. Patrick decided that when he grew up he wanted to live in Bozeman, Montana. In 2002 he decided to buck conventionality and finally move to where he dreamed of. Now, Patrick is living his dream, building homes for families in what we all know to be “the last best place.”
QUALITY – Higher Standard Homes focuses on using quality materials and expects the same from our subcontractors. We always keep value in mind as we seek to build a quality home at a reasonable price.
AFFORDABILITY – Many contractors are building higher-end homes that are unattainable to the average buyer. Higher Standard Homes seeks to build quality homes in a price range that is affordable to a broader spectrum of the population without cutting corners.
FUNCTIONALITY – At Higher Standard Homes we strive to always design and build a home that is highly livable.

Patrick is a General Contractor with a focus on building homes that are affordable, functional and built with quality materials. He started Higher Standard Homes in 2012 and has been building quality homes for families in Northwest Bozeman and Northern Belgrade, Montana ever since.
Jay Corti
PROJECT MANAGER
As the Construction Project Manager, Jay oversees all phases of the building process, making sure the project is completed on time and within scope and budget.
Chelsea Stewart
Realtor
Born and raised in Bozeman, Chelsea is a fifth-generation Montanan who has witnessed the town’s evolution firsthand. Her deep local roots and passion for our growing community fuel her work. Before her real estate career, Chelsea honed her business acumen by launching a successful salon and a downtown wine bar, giving her a unique perspective on the energy and character of Bozeman. Chelsea’s dedication to her clients has placed her at the pinnacle of her profession.
She consistently ranks in the top 1% of agents in the Big Sky Country MLS for sales volume, was voted Gallatin’s Greatest Real Estate Agent in 2025, and was honored as one of the Bozeman Daily Chronicle’s “20 Under 40” in 2022. Nationally, she ranks in the top 1.5% of all agents and was #3 nationwide for ERA Real Estate. When not working, Chelsea enjoys exploring new restaurants and traveling with her hus- band, Wes, and their two daughters.
Mark Meissner
Realtor
Mark brings over 20 years of experience in architecture, construction, and real estate development. His background spans all facets of development, from land acquisition and master planning to marketing and finance, allowing him to bring creative, solution-oriented thinking to commercial, residential, and recreational property transactions.Mark has consistently earned a place in ERA’s Leaders Circle, recognizing more than $10 million in annual sales volume. Deeply rooted in Montana with family history dating back to the mid-1800s, Mark has an intimate knowledge of the region. He holds a degree in Construction Engineering Technology from Montana State University and serves on the board for the Upper Missouri Waterkeeper. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoys everything the Montana landscape has to offer.
